Population of approximately 850,000. One of the smallest African nations by population, with most people living on Grande Comore.

The official languages are Comorian (Shikomori), French, and Arabic. Comorian is a Bantu language with Arabic influences.

The capital is Moroni, located on the island of Grande Comore. Other major towns include Mutsamudu (Anjouan Island) and Fomboni (Moheli Island).

A blend of African, Arab, and French influences. Islam plays a major role in daily life, with weddings and religious celebrations being major social events. Traditional music includes Twarab, influenced by Swahili culture.

Comorian Franc (KMF) One of the world's least traded currencies, primarily used within the islands.

Limited but unique island wildlife, including Livingstone�s fruit bats (one of the world's largest bats), green sea turtles, and various lemurs.
