Population of approximately 28 million. Abidjan is home to a large portion of the population, making it one of the biggest cities in West Africa.

The official language is French. Over 60 indigenous languages are spoken, with Dioula serving as a common trade language.

The capital is Yamoussoukro, but the largest city and economic center is Abidjan. Other major cities include Bouake, Daloa, and San Pedro (a major port city).

A mix of Indigenous, French, and modern influences. Known for vibrant festivals, traditional masks, and music styles like Zouglou. The country is also famous for its cocoa industry and artistic woodcarvings.

West African CFA Franc (XOF) � Shared with several West African nations and pegged to the euro.

Hearty and flavorful cuisine with yams, cassava, and plantains. Popular dishes: Attieke (fermented cassava couscous), Kedjenou (slow-cooked chicken with vegetables), and Aloko (fried plantains).

Tropical climate. The south is humid and rainy, while the north has a hotter, drier savanna climate. The rainy season is May-October.

Home to African elephants, pygmy hippos, chimpanzees, leopards, and forest buffalo. Tai National Park is one of the last major rainforest habitats in West Africa.
