Capital: Mbabane (political capital). Other major cities: Manzini (largest city, economic hub), Lobamba (royal and legislative capital).

Subtropical climate, with hot, wet summers (October-April) and cooler, dry winters (May-September). The highlands are cooler than the lowveld.

Notable wildlife includes white and black rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, and antelopes. The country has several protected wildlife reserves, including Hlane Royal National Park.
