Ghanaian culture is a blend of various ethnic traditions, with kente cloth, Adinkra symbols, and storytelling playing important roles. Festivals, music, and dance are central to social life.

Ghanaian cedi (GHS); the name �cedi� comes from an Akan word for a type of shell once used as currency.

Staple foods include jollof rice, waakye (rice and beans), fufu (pounded starch with soup), banku (fermented maize dough), and kelewele (spicy fried plantains).

Tropical climate: Hot and humid in the south, drier in the north; two rainy seasons (April-June & September-November) in the south.

Notable wildlife includes elephants, leopards, hippos, chimpanzees, baboons, crocodiles, and various species of antelope and birds.
